Location

This superb six bedroom lodge rests on the banks of Loch Katrine in the heart of Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park. Boasting superb loch views, the property is situated on the pier of Stronachlachar, from where the Sir Walter Scott Steamship departs on daily trips around the loch. There is also a cafe located on the pier which serves excellent food and drink (licensed) and rents out boats for fishing.

The area is a popular destination with walkers and cyclists, with permit fishing available for anglers. The nearby village of Aberfoyle offers a wide selection of pubs, restaurants and shops, with many golf courses available throughout the region. Loch Lomond is easily accessible by car, offering loch side cruises, a spa hotel, championship golf courses, an aquarium and selection of water sports. The lodge is 10 minutes away by car from the Macdonald Forest Hills Hotel, which has a lovely swimming pool and gym. Shops and pub 15 minutes away by car.

The cities of Glasgow, Edinburgh and Stirling are all accessible by car.

The Lodge

Furnished to a high standard, the holiday property combines traditional and modern, and offers the perfect base from which family and friends can relax and unwind from the stresses of everyday life. Artwork on display includes a wide range of Francis Friths’ pictures from the Trossachs area.

- Ground Floor: Living room with 8kw wood burning stove and wooden floor. Spacious kitchen/dining room with 12kw wood burning stove and 6 ring gas hob. Games room with sleight bed pool table, games, books & stereo. Separate toilet.

- First floor: Double bedroom with super-king bed. Large double bedroom with king size bed. Twin bedroom. Bathroom with separate shower cubicle. Separate shower room.

- Second floor: Two double bedrooms, one with suoer-king bed and balcony overlooking Loch Katrine, one with king size bed and ensuite. Twin bedroom. Shower room with toilet.
